If you’ve been following me for a while, you know my journey started with nutrition and walking.  

Proper nutrition is the single most important factor when it comes to losing weight – knowing what, how much and when to eat.

Nutrition is still 90% of how I maintain my weight loss and stay healthy. 

So I wanted to provide a resource to help you understand how to plan meals, use the recipes provided exclusively for our members, and eat for your goals.

I first want to emphasize that I focused on eating whole foods like lean protein and veggies when I started. The weight really dropped off. I cut out soda, sweets, and ate only whole foods. I didn’t even count calories at first.

Then when I plateaued, I cut out gluten and dairy and saw even more weight loss. I encourage you to eat whole foods first and then worry about counting calories and finding what nutrition and diet plan works for you if your weight loss slows.

Whole Foods Overview

This is the diet I started with when I was losing weight. It has fewer rules and is an excellent way to ease into dieting. You won’t start counting calories at first. Instead, you'll make a few simple changes and stick to a few guidelines to help you choose foods that will jumpstart your weight loss. 

Clean eating is a great way to ease into foods that work for weight loss without stressing about hitting a certain amount of macros or calories.

This diet works well for people who get overwhelmed with too many rules, have a hard time sticking to specific diets, or feel confused by dieting in the first place.
